David Robson was convicted of the manslaughter of 77-year-old Arthur Clarke.
He knocked him down with a car five years earlier whilst being chased by the police. a silimar charge of killing 50-year-old Forence Fox, who he also knocked down, was not proceeded with.
He later came forward and confessed, which the judge said he would bear in mind during sentencing.
